Motorola has done a great job with the Motorola Atrix 4G and with the specs of the Motorola Droid Bionic being out as well, it seems that both of them are up to the task when it comes to raw performance. The Motorola Atrix 4G has been released for a while now and impressed a lot of reviewers as well as a huge user base – evidence that the device is indeed a beast. The specs are top notch, the build quality is high and performance wise the Atrix 4G packs quite the punch. • NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor at 1 GHz per core

• 1 GB of RAM ( DDR2 )
• 1930 mAh battery
• 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and 720p HD recording
• 16 GB of built in storage with micro SD card slot for another 32 GB
• Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and HDMI 1.3

This greatly increases the usability of the device outside of the regular constraints smartphones operate by. On the other hand we have the Motorola Droid Bionic which hasn’t been launched yet, but a number of leaks are pointing towards the fact that the device will be hitting the market in Q2 at Verizon ( a Motorola Droid Bionic release date rumor even places the device’s launch sooner than most expected ).

• 4.3 inch qHD display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels ( lower pixel density than on the Atrix 4G )
• NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor
• 512 MB of RAM ( DDR2 )
• Android 2.2 Froyo
• 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and 720p HD recording

The first few differences in terms of specs come with the larger display for the Droid Bionic who does lower the pixel density though, as well as only 512 MB of RAM for the Bionic compared to the 1 GB for the Atrix 4G.

Network availability! The Droid Bionic is headed to Verizon while the Atrix 4G is enjoying itself a lot more at AT&T, so from this point of view, when the Droid Bionic is out I think that webtop or not ( although Motorola’s CEO stated that Motorola Droid Bionic will receive an Atrix-like Webtop eventually  ), 8 megapixels or 5, the real deal will come down to a simple choice – are you on AT&T?  Then the Motorola Droid Bionic is more likely to be your choice.
